Our Experience at Gila River Arena

The eighth NHL arena we checked off our bucket list…

October 12th, 2017

We hopped on a flight from Dallas to Arizona!

I have this…tradition shall I say, to email each NHL Arenas Season Ticket Holder staff before we make our journey to their arena.

THE COYOTES
DID NOT RESPOND

But in all honestly, it likely wouldn’t have worked out in our favor since we were flying in the day of the game.

So, I’ll give you a kitchen pass, Coyotes.

As I’m sure you can imagine, Arizona doesn’t have too much of a following (cue the cold calls I’ve gotten since the game) so I knew dad and I could score a really awesome ticket.

WE SAT ON THE GLASS!

Which was cool. But, it was so hard to follow the game. I would find myself getting distracted by everything but the plays and it’s not the best place to sit if you want to actually watch the game.

But it was honestly an experience I don’t think dad and I could score anywhere else.

So, thanks Coyotes!

Arizona was cool in the way that Tampa Bay was in that everything was outside and it was a really fun fan experience for bars / music / activities / etc.

The Red Wings won to The Coyotes by a 4-2 score (thanks to Luke Glendening with the shortie to break a tie with 3:24 remaining)

The Arizona Coyotes marked the 8th NHL Arena (Dallas being our seventh) on our bucket list of attending Red Wings games at different NHL Arenas.

Next stop? VEGAS BABY!
