The ninth NHL arena we checked off our bucket list…
October 12th, 2017
We hopped on a flight from Arizona to Vegas!
I have this…tradition shall I say, to email each NHL Arenas Season Ticket Holder staff before we make our journey to their arena.
I DIDN’T DO IT THIS TIME EITHER.
Granted, I have a good reason for it.
This was THEIR FIRST SEASON IN THE NHL and better yet? This game was
THE FIRST GAME THEY LOST
They had been on fire, a 3 game winning streak, first season in the league. They were (are) IMPRESSIVE
SO, I am thinking they had better things to do than answer an email from a Red Wings fan flying in for their game.
Dad and I aren’t huge fans of Vegas, it’s not really our scene.
But, you bet your bottom dollar we went to NoBu again! (Peep my post about New York)
The game was as theatrical as you’d imagine it to be.
Knights ‘killing’ a man with a Red Wings flag before the game started and theatrical plays showcased during the intermissions. It was all in good fun but I have to say it’s completely different than games back at home. Vegas is definitely all about the lights, camera, action!
The Red Wings won to The Golden Knights by a 6-3 score (It was absolutely outrageous with 4 goals in the 3rd period!!!)
The Vegas Golden Knights marked the 9th NHL Arena (Arizona being our eighth) on our bucket list of attending Red Wings games at different NHL Arenas.
Next stop? San Jose! (or as I like to call this upcoming trip, the California Swing + Colorado)
